Dalia Jacobs

︎

Dalia Jacobs (b. 1996, Palestine) is a Palestinian interdisciplinary artist. Her work is rooted in the exilic Palestinian experience, shaped by years of movement across the Mediterranean. Spanning across photography, performance art, video art, and immersive audiovisual installations, her practice is both personal and political. Jacobs exists within the intersection of grief, displacement, resilience, and love, offering intimate reflections in her practice.

In her work, Jacobs interlinks analog and digital methods to carefully craft memory and archive, slipping into myths and excavating Palestinian figures and stories as she breaches time. Projects of Jacobs’ include Cultural Fusion; Love Letters Part I; Not Ophelia; and God’s Last Witness. Her artistic practice, intimately tied with her country, lends itself to socially engaged initiatives such as FilmStin, Amnesty International, and other organisations Jacobs organises with in her affirmation that art is also a tool for community care, solidarity, and cultural preservation.
