Director, with Fovero spring, I looked towards the Palestinian landscape. Inspired by the desert in spring, I was drawn to earth tones and colors and envisioned a way to showcase the full strata of Palestinians with our land.
Working with landscape Palestine to highlight Palestinians by bringing together the natural beauty of Palestinians and our heritage by utilizing remnants of land we no longer have access to.
Two of my main aims in this theme was to go against the traditional beauty standards and instead use ‘average’ Palestinians as our models. Casting Palestinians across social and class backgrounds so as to mirror Palestinian society in our enterity was my next goal.
We put women forward to reclaim and take space within our country and rights.
